    My xps 16 is shipped today. Someone just told me I should do some tests immediately after I receive it. So what tests and software should I run to test the stability of the computer? Stress tests? Maybe some heavy games? Please help me here. I don't want to find out two months later that I got a lemon.

    dell computers come with a build in self diagnostic test. hold down Fn key then power on computer, it will go into test by itself.
    other than that, also run a dvd movie on the computer. i wouldnt recommend prime95 on a consumer laptop though.
