Hello, this's my very first post here, if there's any thing that againsts forums rules, plz forgive me as well as my english. I'm in desperate situation.

Really I just got my m1730 laptop a day ago. I bought it from ebay, it's a brand new one with X9000 cpu, 4gb Ram, GeForce 8800 GTX SLI ... But the werid thing is the laptop comes with Windows XP Sp2 but every drivers were working fine.

Then I decided to install Windows Vista Ultimate as the 2nd OS, but I don't have a windows vista drivers cd. So at the first time Windows Vista was on, it couldn't regconize any thing, no GeForce 8800 GTX SLI, no Wifi, no Bluetooth, no Logitech Display, no webcam ....

I then went to Dell Drivers and Downloads website to download all the drivers for XPS M1730 on Windows Vista 32 bit. But the problem began  . Whenever I run any of those drivers, it's nothing happened for some seconds, then it's like the sreen turned into dark, I mean looks like it was turned off. And the next seconds, the Log On sreen appeared and driver didn't work at all. :(

I've tried to re download the drivers, install the Windows Vista again but no help. I'm really confused right now  . If you have a minute, plz let me know how can I do about it.
Thank you very much and once again sorry for my poor english !

First of all you will have to install the drivers in the correct order, make sure to install the chipset drivers first, then the video one, also download all the drivers from the support web site, not from nvidia or any other download site, some of them wont work. Make sure that you are downloading the correct drivers.

    Hi

Are you running the setup files in Administrator mode?

Right click the driver setup file > Run as Administrator

Which drivers have you tried to install?

Hi, thank you very much for your replies. Maybe I didn't run those drivers in correct order yet. All of them I downloaded from Dell Drivers And Download website so it must be 100% correct. I also tried to run them as Administrator too.
Unfortunately, just got my vista removed :( Gotta install it again and I'll be back with news.

    Thanks, again :)
