    It is good to see that dell has officially put up pictures of how the new XPS laptop would look like when opted for 9-cell battery. This is really useful for new buyers. So this has made the rumours saying "The 9-cell battery on new XPS doesn't stick out" as false!

    I actually don't mind it. I may have to disconnect the battery when putting it in a sleeve but I won't have to prop up the laptop with decks of cards for proper air flow. Especially if there's a tablecloth or something blocking the vents.

    It does look like the vents underneath will have more room to breath with the 9-cell. Might be good for the quads, especially?

    Thanks for posting. Still happy with my 6 cell, just don't need more than that as I'm always close to a wall socket.
