Overclock your graphic card. You will get better performance.

    No bro...

First of all, update your drivers, your laptop with Optimus, right? maybe that's why. After updating the drivers, you can use MSI Afterburnet and Overclock the GPU again.

I have GT 445M which is supposed to be slower than 555M at factory settings. I overclocked it and I'm running it at 1600x900 all low graphic options/disabled, with average 27fps. I'm sure you can do better than me if you OC it. Btw, I'm using the latest beta driver as well.

This game has really high requirements. Some people with dual GPUs on their desktop can only get 30+ fps at max settings.
Don't expect much with a mid range gpu.

I suggest you play at 1600*900, all low and max overclock. Should be able hit 30fps.

Maybe you should try a WHQL driver instead of a crappy Beta one, or check out Guru3D for other drivers. Try them all, what do you have to lose.

GT 555M isn't a real gaming card, it still gets smoked by a 260M which is 3 year old tech.

Witcher 2 has some pretty high requirements, desktop 8800GT (equivalent to a 260M) but that would be minimum and probably wants higher.

I second that, XPS machines are a breed of portable + Some gaming performance, but dont expect wonders! And even with a good card, witcher 2 is a tremendously heavy game, its like the Crysis of the year... just not playable unless you have the best of the best...
