    Hi,

    I'm planning to buy this beauty of XPS 15 9560, the full hd version with 16gb of ram and a 512 gb ssd,
    I'm seeing a lot of replies in thread about switching ssd to samsung or changing thermal paste, I'd like to know what kind of modifications you guys suggest or think it's worth doing after buying it ?

    Also, should I buy the 256 gb ssd version with 8gb ram (and buy additional ram/change ssd myself to make it cheaper ?)

    You're going to catch never ending grief about making a new thread for things that have been answered a hundred times before...

    I suggest repasting and undervolting, there is a thread that discusses it.

    Look at the prices of buying the laptop how you want it vs upgrading it, easy to figure out if it's worth it or not.

    You need to stick one of these on the lid to make it go faster, orientation is important as fitting the wrong way will in fact make the laptop slower!
