Back in December I bought an M1530 with a 9-cell battery and CompleteCare Warranty. I'm looking to find a 6-cell battery as I'm not a fan of the bulkiness of the 9-cell. The Dell website charges $200 for a 6-cell which is far more than I want to pay. Does anyone know of good third party suppliers with reliable batteries. Also would using such batteries void my warranty in any way?

Within the first year you can ask Dell for an extra battery...

    O RLY?

How would I go about doing that? I haven't found anything like that on their website. I'm in Canada if that makes a difference.

Edit: How much would it cost?

Has anyone had any bad experiences with a knock-off like this? I wouldn't mind having a spare, but not at Dell's prices. Are things like this generallly safe to use?

    Say what?

Before the end of my first year warranty I asked Dell Customer care for what they could for my capacity-dropped battery and I got a free one...
