First, not so sure about the Merlot Red color. Looks kinda plasticy. But so does the black. My current M1530 has the blue cover and it looks great. We'll see how the red looks.
I'll call tomorrow to see if they'll throw in the shipping. I see Dell is offering it with other configs and I might have mis-configured mine.
Good deal?

I was digging the merlot, but I thought more about that red leather.
Kinda reminds me of my grandmothers purse so I think I changed my mind on the merlot
Sweet system, btw.... -
Grat's on your order.
You can usually get them to *bomp* you to free shipping.Just call and ask, and if they say no..Say well I guess I will just cancel my order!
9/10 you can get the free shipping!
I think the Red is going to be nice...I need to see some *close-ups*, of course!! And, I'm pondering ordering the SPX13 in Red...
(I already have the 1530/Mini 9 in Red)!

Where Are You Bamasterrrr
-
hehe
Yes, I purchase through EPP. Start here:
http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/featured_xpsnb_deal?c=us&cs=6004&l=en&s=eep
This configuration is $311 off of $1,553 (~20%).
The only thing I upgraded was the Wifi to Intel 5300 (+$45) and Bluetooth (+$25).
You have to use the 4% DPA discount trick.
(selecting Visa as payment first, then DPA for additional 4%... search around for this).
Stank you very much. -
EPP has it's great advantages...just like the deal you got!
Did you sign up for the 12 months interest free?
It works to your benefit, as long as you pay it off w/in the allotted time
(Otherwise = Get smacked with all that built up interest)lulz.

It's tricky using the Dell site. All the configurations are differently discounted. Sometimes the best deal is hidden in the "As Advertised" section. Sometimes you have to click a special banner, like for this one. This config was behind this small banner:
But be sure, if you can search around you can get a deal for pretty much cost. -
u said u got the 2.66ghz in your original post though? u just said all you upgraded was the bluetooth and wireless....
-
wait nvm i got it. i added the 2.66ghz and now its basically the same (i didnt do DPA trick though). does it only work if you will be paying for the laptop monthly?
-
It should come to $1798, pre-discounts. -
On the XPS..right now you get 12 months interest free, also.

Cin beat me to it.
*shakes fist in air in anger, mumbling something about kids and their blasted rock n roll* -
HA HA!
No fist shaking!
I used Dell DPA on my 1530..the 12months free, and it worked wellYou just have to be sure to pay that baby off w/in the 12 months......or you won't be so happy with the packed on interest outcome!
Cin -
Sweet! I called Dell and asked them... very kindly... for free shipping. And got it. Saved $29, ya'll!
/me does the funky dance -
They will usually do that for you, if you ask and are nice, as such!
Now, when is your ESD??
(Do the funky dance....get down)
