Hey all, I've settled on getting an XPS 1530, but I can't decide if there's some coupons that come around occasionally I should be looking for. I'm gonna use the 25% off coupon, but I've heard rumours of $750 off coupons here and there. The one I've configured is coming out to be about $1600 ($1200 after coupon). Could I do better than that?

    Thanks for your help.

i've been waiting to buy xps 1530 as well so i've been monitoring coupons
for about a month. But i think 25% off is the best deals u could get so i ordered mine last week and i also think u should go for it.

I got the 40% off instant savings in April. If you are in no hurry, wait for a few months. Check every day on the Dell site for good instant savings, and coupon sites for a good code.

    Good luck.

cool. I'm not in a rush, so I'll wait. It'd be nice if they offered the 1900x1050 screen with the LED backlight. So, 40% would be the best I could shoot for?

Sometimes they have $750 off $1500 codes...that might be better...but not if you get a higher end computer.

Also, if you can get an EPP discount from your employer or something, you can find a rep who will combine savings for you.

I'll be a graduate student at a large (>40,000 students) university, should I just wait until I matriculate this fall then try calling up to get them to stack?

Yeah, if you are in no hurry. By then the next version of the XPS should be out.

If you are already enrolled in the university, then you may be able to get the discount sooner.

Go to Dell.com, check under laptops for the one that says education, heathcare, etc. Go from there.

    Good luck,
