I've started feeling a slight tingling sensation when resting my palm on the notebook, to the left of the touch pad. It is subtle, not painful, but noticeable.
Anyone else experience this and if so can it be fixed?

This is a known issue regarding the power supply. I read it here on the forums somewhere. I get my xps on Tuesday and I hope they send the three prong power supply and not the 2 prong, which I believe is the problem.

Yep, tonyguy is right. The tingling sensation is caused by static build up inside the laptop. The usual way to get rid of it is either by touching it or ground it.
The third prong in the power supply is used to ground the laptop so any excess static will go there instead of your body lol -
Taken from "Top 10 Questions about the M1530":
On some M1530 there seem to be an issue with grounding caused by the AC Adapter.
This results with a small build up of static electricity in the the laptop which can cause tiny shocks or tingling when resting you hands on the palm wrest. If you are experiencing this contact Dell Support and arrange for then to replace your 2 prong AC Adapter with a 3 prong AC Adapter (grounded).
More information is available in the Dell XPS 1530 Shocking Users thread
Pretty much, call dell and tell them to send you a grounded adapter for your 1530. -
If you're curious put a multimeter on the area and the other probe to ground and see what the floating voltage is.
Normally it is a case of **** poor performance by their electrical quality and standards control people.
The highest I've seen is 110VAC which also migrated to the RCA sockets on a set top box that my GF bought. Needless to say that got returned. Just takes someones kid to stick an RCA cord in their mouth and it all ends in tears. -
if you pull the ps you wont feel it no more and its on both sides
