    Hello guy,
I'm living in Germany and I don't know german at all!
I'm planning to buy 1 XPS 15 from the local Dell.com page.
The version that exactly I'm looking for has as OS, "Windows 10 Home (64 Bit) - Deutsch". (other versions of this model have enunciated "Windows 10 Home (64 Bit) - English, Dutch, French, German, Italian")
This is all the information that I can get from the dell's page.
I have the intention of change the language of windows 10 home from german to english, but I don't know whether the licence included for windows home is "single language".

Any of you know if is possible that dell sells a XPS 15 with windows home single language licence?

thanks you! and I hope to join you asap my future purchase arrive :)

Dell normally arrive multilingual, you pick your language when you power it on for the 1st time, or after a reset.

single language is just a stripped back version and when I have installed it in the past it has activated fine for me, ymmv.

First response from Google says you need to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro:

You can Speak with Dell Germany to see if you can get the English version. Not sure if your German M$ licence permits a clean install from ISO in English if you are just running one language. Speak to Dell Germany. There are hacks to do this but some may violate your terms and/or not be 100% secure.

The German keyboard should be slightly different to accomodate a slightly different alphabet. Always slightly quirky for English typing.

The BIOS likely will be in German. Not sure how to change that or if you care.

While professional US expats may be a thing of the past, the US has a massive pool of government bureaucrats and mercenaries deployed around the world so Dell must be somehow servicing these people with US language computers.

Finally, Apple stores typically can configure OSX and change the physical keyboard to a different language right away. They don't always have all languages on hand.

FYI I'm repasting an Alienware for a customer based in Germany at the moment (the laptop was bought from Dell Germany) and their BIOS is in English. Everything else, including the keyboard is German.

So at least the BIOS won't be in German! I'm sure if you order from Dell direct you can choose the language of your keyboard here

Don't worry, it comes with English language as an option. You can even choose an English keyboard layout (QWERTY, physical; instead of the default QWERTZ) as part of the configuration during the purchase.

Well, My laptop arrived and as I was expecting, it was only in GERMAN (just BIOS in english). So, the best solution was to download a new image of Windows 10 from Dell homepage, create a booteable USB stick and this new version had the language option.
The corolary is that, when a computer is showed as "Windows 10 Home (64 Bit) - Deutsch" it come exclusively in German XD

    Have a nice week.
