To early M1530 adopters, what was the general starting price and how long did it take to start discounting?

I'm just asking because I'm debating whether or not to just get a M1530 now or wait until the succeeding model comes out. Of course, I want to know how much its going to cost for a new one because I know since it is premium I might not be able to buy a comparable or slightly superior configuration to something like a T8300/8600M GT for a good price.

So I'm just wondering how long it was until Dell started putting sales on for the M1530 and such

Well they must have really been pushing the sales when I bought it on 7/21 because between Dell and my college (only 4% off from them though) I got $750 off and it was $1050 including tax and a logitech laser mouse. But Dell told me the closer it gets to back to school date the more the prices go up so right now is prime time.

Wow how did you get it at that low of a price?

I clicked on one of their advertisements that said "Save up to $588 instantly on select notebooks". The offer I got is over but they always have them. I noticed that if I did the same exact configuration but went from the base model, it would have cost $1794 after tax. So just make sure to click on one of their ads and you get a better deal.

Yea, hmm what is your screen resolution and type though? It just seemed like yours is cheaper than normal

I told you mine was like a one day offer ... but I downgraded to the 1200 x 800 screen because getting more just isn't all that practical in my opinion. And $960 for an XPS ... theres really no way you can go wrong there.
