Yo guys, I've just built and ordered a Dell XPS 17 laptop, and am looking for a decent cooling pad; can you guys recommend any good ones? Would be even better if someone with this machine could recommend one they use :)

    NOTES:

I will be gaming on this machine, but not with the latest games like Battlefield 3, mainly older games such as LORTO, Civ 5 and Team Fortress 2.

Because I haven't seen the machine I don't know where the cooling vent is, so the cooling pad would have to leave that unblocked!

    Thanks for your time! :)

the XPS 17 has pretty good cooling system IMO. However, if you want a cooling pad, I would recommend getting the Zalman.

I'm using an XPS 15 which I believe has very similar internals and cooling to the XPS 17.

Any gaming I do is mainly TF2.

The fans do a very good job of pumping hot air out of the side of the system, it is "warm" to touch after extended use, but not hot at all. Even the underside of the laptop is just "warm".

So, I've been fine without a cooling pad. I'd recommend waiting until it arrives and trying it out. They are designed to be used without extra cooling so you shouldn't really have any issues.
