There are several reviews on the web talking about the xps 15 and 17 with multitouch/touchscreen displays.

    Example Dell XPS 17 (1710X) - reviews - Notebooks - Gaming - PC World

I ordered an xps 17 from the U.S. and wanted to know if mine will be coming with the multitouch screen. If not, does anyone know when they will be shipping with these screens?

Your's won't be shipped with the touchscreen! I think it's available as soon as the Full HD screen becomes available for the XPS 17. Maybe February next year or so...

That is very strange -- I can't find any real mention of an XPS 15 touchscreen, and nothing about an XPS 17 one other than that review. As far as I can tell, Dell hasn't even announced them and they're certainly not available.

The touch screen is detailed in the manual for both machines and is listed as the 900p in the specs. No idea when the option will be availiable though.
