So I just tore my XPS 15 L501 apart because I am changing the thermal compound on the CPU and I noticed there is a connector for a Digitizer for the LCD on the motherboard. So when did dell want to inform all of us first time xps 15 buyers that they plan on releasing a version of the XPS 15 with a touchscreen in the future... hmm. I didn't believe it at first but it is also confirmed in the service manual for the connector.

Well on the bright side, the connector is there, so it is possible of just buying the digitizer in the future but still this kind of annoys me.
