Used 501 fhd cable. Looks identical. Does nothing when you turn it on.

what screen were you using? the matte version of stock? Keep us updated on your next steps. I'll be trying it in a week or two, maybe now I'm a lil scared. I'll call and see if there's an updated part I guess.

I just got off the phone with my sales rep, I know they don't know everything but he said the cable is compatible. I'll be able to confirm in a few weeks. In the mean time I suggest you double check all the connections and make sure you have a compatible screen. If it is a cable and you find the correct one, please let us know. Sorry it didn't work for you.

I was just about to say the same....the cable won't work unless your drivers have been updated....I don't know which version is the earliest compatible driver, but a quick trip to the Dell website should sort everything out.

I know this from first hand experience with other customers.

    Peace

Even without the correct drivers though it should at least show post and power on, maybe give an OSD message. Its like it isn't getting power.

I'm with you...okay....possible faulty cable....you would definitely get an image with the incorrect drivers...the screen would just look crappy in 1920x1080.

Did you get the cable off me or Dell ?????

Dell after a lot of arm twisting. My next step is to try the default cable with the new screen to see if it will atleast power on if not display correctly to narrow it down to either the screen or cable. Be a bit before I have time to mess with it again though working 14 hour shifts.
