I've got a couple of DVDs containing 'Freespace SCP' (the free version) and while these work on a different PC and on my dad's laptop, I simply can't get my Dell XPS M1330 to recognise these DVDs as anything (either in Vista or in Ubuntu). I put them in, and they pop right out.

My computer seems to be the only one that's having this trouble. Do you think I have a faulty drive? Other DVDs work fine, but I've tried burning these files to different DVDs and they still don't work.

The DVD-Rs are Sony, by the way.

    Thanks for your time.

P.S. Has everyone had a terrible time with Dell, or is it just me? The only thing they do right is replacing motherboards (which I've gone through twice already).
