I am trying to decide between the following two systems (from the dell outlet). I use laptop for wide range of uses from gaming/photo editing/web development and all the other typical uses (less performance based applications). I expect to be using on the road more then at home, but I really don't see a pound or two difference as a factor. Any info would be valuble in me helping make my decision.

    1 XPS M1530 Laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB, 6MB Cache)
1 Integrated 2.0 Mega Pixel Web Camera
    1 Genuine Windows Vista Ultimate
1 Blu-ray Disc Drive (BD/DVD/CD burner w/double layer BD write capability)
    1 Scratch & Dent
    1 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz (2 DIMMs)
    1 Dell Travel Remote Control
    1 32BIT Operating System CD
1 250 GB Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
    1 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT
1 15.4 inch WXGA Laptop Screen
    1 9 Cell Primary Battery
    1 Intel 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini Card
    $975 (tax and shipping)

    1 Studio XPS 16 (1640) Laptop: Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 (3MB cache/2.4GHz/1066Mhz FSB) w/2.0MP Integrated Webcam
    1 Certified Refurbished
1 Intel WiFi Link 5100 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card
    1 64BIT Operating System CD
1 500 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
1 Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium
    1 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz (2 DIMMs)
    1 Blu-ray Disc Combo (DVD+/-RW + BD-ROM)
    1 512MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3670
    1 16 inch Edge-to-Edge HD Widescreen WLED LCD (1366x768)
    1 64BIT Operating System DVD
    1 6 Cell Primary Battery
    $850 (tax and shipping)

Price isn't a huge issue, but if I can save $200 on an equal or better system that would be great! I don't foresee any reason to write to blu-ray discs either.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Considering the higher cost and the fact that it has lower specs, there'd be no reason to even consider the 1530 at this stage.
Thus - go with the studio.
