    Hi All,

I'm wondering is there any options to turn off backlit keyboard by default on XPS 15? I need to turn off the backlit every time I start the laptop

    Thanks

open windows mobility center by using the left most touch sensitive button near the power button. Under the "customized by Dell Inc." click on keyboard icon and select keyboard lighting to "off" mode.

Why did you get a backlit keyboard if you want it off all the time?

    Hi,

First I bought the laptop from store and it has been set like that i.e with backlit option

Second I don't play the laptop in the dark so it is useless to have the backlit on all the time when mostly I play in the proper room light brightness

So do you know how to control the backlit without turn it off everytime the laptop started?

    Thx

What sag_patel said should work, so give that a go.

    Hi,

I tried the suggestion from sag_patel but I can't get the button in the near power button, where is it exactly?

    Thanks

The Windows Mobility Center button? It's the third capacitive button from the right (kind of looks like two little gears on it to me) or you can click on the start button and type windows mobility in the search bar and open it that way (the capacitive button should work though). Once that is opened click on the little keyboard icon next to "Keyboard Brightness On" and set the lighting to "off". Click OK and you're done.

You must click directly ON the keyboard icon in Windows Mobility Center to open the window referred to here.
