When I close my laptop it doesn't turn off screen - it has no reaction at all. No matter if I close it under Windows XP or openSuse linux.
Should I call technical support?? Do you have any idea what can be not right??
It looks like closing "sensor/button" is damaged...

    Best regards

If your power profiles are setup correctly (meaning they are set to put the pc to sleep with the lid close) and it doesn't do it, in two different OS, then yeah, id say you may have a dead sensor.

yea u have to have it setup in power options to do nothing under the lid close option. What it really means by "no nothing" is actually it just turns of the monitor
