Just curious if anyone knows why having a cell phone (HTC Evo 4g) or external hard drive plugged into any usb port on my L702X would triple or even quadruple boot time? I do have it set to boot from internal hard drive, so I know boot order is not an issue. I just unplug the device and it boots fine. I am stumped.....sad face

Try disabling USB emulation in BIOS.

Curious, what exactly does that do? and will disabling it cause any other issues?

Hey, glad to hear it worked...

    Dell's explanation:
This usb-emulation is so "well implemented" that if I leave it ON, I can't even boot from eSATAp. Thumbs up Dell !
