On my desktop I have audio coming out of my usb, and then it converts to optical for my surround sound. My problem has been that on the desktops that I have set up this, I haven't figured out how to convert them back to normal. I would like to set up my 1645 the same way but I dont want to not have sound once I unplug the surround sound. Does anybody use usb sound? Or know a solution to this problem. I would like to just plug in the usb cord and have the xps see it and send sound through it, and when I unplug it revert back to the normal speakers. My surround sound is wonderful and I wouldn't want to be stuck with listening to the factory xps speakers while im at home.
