I am looking to buy a USB Type-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter for the XPS 9550. Bonus points if it acts as an USB 3.0 hub. It is mandatory that it works for Linux (there are drivers for that particular NIC).

Has anybody bought one that matches all these requirements and works for the XPS 9550?

This one looked perfect ( http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Etherne...2&sr=1-16&keywords=usb-c+gigabit+ethernet#Ask) but comments say it does not properly work with XPS 15 :(.
