Anyone using ubuntu that could report hows the OS are running on it??

Im asking it because the previous version at least with my 1330, the OS has a terrible battery life, and also kept the fun running on full speed at all times

And before going for it id like to know if anyone have a positive review in this situation.

    all the best Beto

good... this version still so poor in managing battery/ performance. I know if you squeeze you can beat out ...Vista, but for a out-of-the-box config still terrible. i have a 9 xps 1330 and normal using (internet + wireless) and some basic things i can get 5h+, i believe i can get aroud 6h if doing some hardcore mod though... now contrasting this results against ubuntu make ubuntu looks yet not ready for a mobile market. i know, as i said before, its possible to install some apps that helps but a good default config still lacking specially for really basic users.

btw: dont get me wrong i like ubuntu and i support the open source community

    anyway thx
