I want to install 2 Linux Distros and Windows XP on to my XPSm1530 HD. I do not want to reformat my vista partition. I have tried gParted Live CD, Windows Disk Management to Resize my primary partition and I am unable to reduce the size. I don't know if I should defragment and try again. Please help me.

YEah Ubuntu uses gParted, which doesn't work. I tried degragging and that didn't work. I guess I will have to backup and reformat.

There is no error message just the resize part is grayed out.
When I try to resize through Windows Disk Management.
I get the maximum number of reclaimable space is 165MB. I don't know what the problem is.

Yeah I know that you can only have 4 primary partitions. I have only 2 partitions at this time. I think it is the defragmentation that didnt go properly I will try to defrag again and see.
