Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a Dell XPS M1330 with the wireless n connection.
However, whenever I try to connect to my home 802.11 g router, the laptop would either have a limited connection or not be able to connect at all. Other times, the laptop says it's connected, but internet won't work.

I've tried unplugging the router and repluged again, but still doesn't work.

If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, please tell me.

Currently, I can only connect to the internet through an ethernet cable. :(

Try downloading the latest drivers from the intel or dell site for your card and see if there's a firmware update for your router.

If that doesn't help, try setting your laptop to a static IP:
    - vista network center
    - status (when connected)
    - select TCP/IP v4 and click properties
    - Enter a valid IP address, subnet as 255.255.255.0 and gateway as the routers IP address. First DNS server the same as Gateway.

    That could help the problem

Just try left clicking on the system tray icon of the connection and select 'Diagnose and repair'. Then you will be asked to choose from a list wherein you select 'Get new IP address automatically'. Should usually solve the problem.

Another thing to try would be to Disable your wireless and then Re-enable it. Sometimes I have to do this when connecting to my Dad's Airport (yuck!) router..
