    FN+F3 does not do anything.
    Installed Synaptics drivers to no avail.
    Disabled drivers in the driver section. Nothing. Ideas?

    whats the OS you have
    I know that touch pad is playing on Win 8 when you have latest drives from synaptics installed

    if you have not yet - please try old drivers from dell's site
