I would like to update the Windows Vista x64 disk that Dell sent me a while back to the latest service pack, and then reinstall Windows.

    Is this possible?

The one I have only comes with Sp1 I believe, or maybe not even that.

You can try to request new disks from Dell... I know there's a form somewhere, but I don't know if they'll do it for sure. Dell seems to be pretty good about handing out re-installation media, though.

Else, I'm pretty sure you can use V-Lite to slipstream the service packs into the existing disk image; you'll just have to burn a new disk.
