the menu seems a bit different. all of the visual stuff has changed in the application.
now it asks for your password or to scan fingerprint when logging into upek control center. (i don't think the last one did that... can't remember)
overall it seems the same but with a better visual theme?

Is there a 32-bit version available, so I can use the fingerprint scanner on the XPS M1330?

the only one i found on their website is the 64 bit version.
you can try going to their website and see if it gives you 32bit drivers when you browse from a 32bit system, i doubt.

    http://www.upek.com/support/downloads/windows7/register.asp

EDIT: 32-bit drivers are up. Check first post for a link.

btw, i noticed that it has a strong password generator, when you swipe your finger and it displays the menu.
i don't remember seeing that before.

"Target hardware: USB Readers > Fingerprint Readers > TCRZ, EIKON TCD50 TCS4CB
    Embedded Systems > Chipset > TCS3-TCD41, TCS3-TCD42, TCS5-TCD50D, TCS4-TCD50 "
You could try to install it just for kicks. It might be compatible with it. Not sure though.

Btw, another thing i noticed. The software is better integrated in the login window. It does not display separate windows (such as "fingerprint was recognised" or "please swipe again") when you are trying to log in using the fingerprint.
