    1. I love Corsair memory and Crucial memory, along with Kingston is pretty good.

    2. I don't know, sorry :(

    3. Yes, but it will be downclocked to 677MHz. (Which is no big deal)

Sorry if I'm not of much help because I am in the USA (Never lived in India, haha, and I'm not even from there), but I tried!

    1. All of the brands you listed will perform the same, they are all equally great brands!

    2. Not sure, you could use an online currency converter though I'm sure to find a ballpark price.

    3. Just correcting Polarix, I'm sure his finger hit the wrong key but it will be downclocked to 667* mhz not 677 mhz.

@vinumsv: If you live in Bombay, you can go to Lamington road to get prices, or Nehru Place if you're in Delhi. Otherwise, use dollar prices on websites like newegg.com, convert them to Indian Rupees, and then add like 20%! :p

Hardware costs are usually higher in India, so the dollar prices from US websites will almost always be a lot cheaper - just warning you! Exactly how different prices will be varies from place-to-place.

I guess they are trying to make up for the discount they give America on the tech support.

Kingston(667 Mhz, not 800 Mhz) with 3 year warranty is available for ~1800 at Nehru Place.
Hynix/Nanya may be cheaper but it is better to go for either kingston or transcend for peace of mind. Crucial and corsair will be slightly more expensive

    Found transcend 2GB memory online

If you cannot go to the market for some reason order from these guys. I have bought from them before and they are reliable

Hmm, is it worth it to go from 2gb -> 4gb on a 32 bit vista or 2gb -> 3gb?

Not unless you are having issues with 2GB. I only have 2GB on my desktop and I do HD video and photo editing and everything seems to run pretty good to me.
