    Hi guys,

Just joined the forums because I have a question, although I did some searching I'm still not sure of the answer.

I have a Dell XPS M1730 which I bought back in 2009 and it has 4GB RAM which I would like to increase to 8GB if possible, so is it possible? Some posts I've come across online say yes and others say no so I'm not sure what to believe.

Has anyone upgraded it to 8GB? Please let me know if I need to provide more information about the system.

    Thanks for any help/clarification!

Yes you can, I have been using 8GB for years. Just make sure you get 200 pin ram.

    Yes, both will work.
It’s a lot more to upgrade now. I paid less the half that amount when I upgraded.
Yes, you do need 64bit Windows to use more then 4GB.
