    hey i have an xps m1530 with a T7250 2.0 ghz processor. Could i upgrade to say like an 8300 Penryn without a problem or would the motherboard have to be different??

    If you are referring to a T8300 then you can, DELL is currently selling M1530 with T8300. It will support Txxxx series penryn processors with 800MHz FSB. But, you might need a BIOS upgrade as boypogi said.

    alright. i knew they sold it with it, but i just wasn't sure if they used a different motherboard or whatever
