    Where can i purchase blu ray drive for my xps m1530? Does it fit to my xps m1530 (shipped with dvd drive). What is part nuber of this?

    If having a blu-ray drive is definitely within your expendable budget, that's fine, but honestly, there is so much more you could upgrade just for the price of that alone...

    You can call Dell Parts and ask about it. You will most likely find it's way more expensive to purchase it after ratehr than with a M1530...

    Dell Parts will be able to tell you which part number it is.

    Only problem is, XPS M1530's are slot loaders.

    Dell use Panasonic UJ-225 for slot load and UJ-220 for tray load drives. You can find them sometimes on ebay but they are expensive.

    dell charges $500 to upgrade to BR when configurating... with discounts, its probably $400.... still expensive
