So I was gonna restore my xps 17 well I was gonna use the Dell WIndows 7 Disk, Which Ive used in the past on others. Well anyways Would I see more of a differcne or is it better to use just a retail copy of windows 7?? or is the dell disk about the same speed wise and such?

I know the dell disk and blan windows and such but does dell change any settings in it?

The Dell disc will preactivate Windows and I have seen the Dell disc find more drivers than a vanilla Windows 7 disc.

Might as well use the disc that came with the system unless your retail copy is a higher level of the OS. It is basically just like the retail version, though perhaps Dell slipstreamed a few extras in there as Tsunade implied. I haven't seen that, but I also haven't really been paying attention. Windows 7 picks pretty much everything up nicely on its own.
