there a vertical blue line on my rgb led screen that run vertically about 1 inch from the right side of the screen. i want to do all the tests before i contact dell. what should i do?
specs are i7-720qm, 8gb ram, 256ssd. everything else is standard.
i did upgrade the ram and the ssd but dont have my older stuff anymore. will dell give me warranty problems?

Turn off your laptop and hold the button "D" while powering back on, it will run some screen tests... Your screen is probably dying, it's just the start. Probably a controller or whatever that is responsible of that vertical line in the screen is burnt... Usually with time you will start having more lines... at least that's what usually happens..

alright ill try the test.
btw this is one of the older models with ati 4670. will dell still replace it with the rgb led screen? -

sorry got a bit confused
is the problem with the screen or the video card? -
This is usually how it goes... but you never know. They might replace the RGB. -
