I just received a new L702x, but the video playback is awful quality, blocky and muddy. I have tried different players and updated the driver etc., but don't know what else to do.

What kind of media is it? Bluray? Downloaded? DVD?

Don't forget about the firmware for the optical drive. Dell recently released a new one. Check their site.

Mine is fine too. Try running a Driver sweeper to pull out ALL NVidia and Intel graphics drivers and then reinstall the latest of both. I'm running the Dell ones that were up to date 2 months ago...and they run fine.

Tried everything, removed and replaced all drivers, flashed Bios. Still no joy. The videos all look low res.

I had this problem playing WMC video on an external TV, depite all the talk about how great the Intel graphics are now. The cure was to use the Nvidia software to configure WMC to always use the Nvidia card.

    Having exactly the same issue!

I have used WMP, VLC and CYBERLINK POWER DVD all with exactly the same outcomes. I have used blu rays, standard DVDs, streams from youtube and BBC.... again all the same blurry/noisey looking.
I have benchmarked using 3D MARK 06 in which i get 11k with no overclocking at all... so this kind of rules out the card being the issue.
I have a feeling its driver issues although ive tried both dells and Nvidia's latest drivers

    Maybe it's a codec issue?

I've got exactly the same problem too. Blurry out of focus images with a load of noise in dark scenes. Also thinking of selling due to this. Anyone manage to find a fix?
