I've never had this problem before.

VLC Player and Windows Media Player can open a video file, and the bar moves like it is playing, and I can hear audio. However, video never shows up!

I have the codecs needed. If I reboot the computer, the video will work properly for awhile, but eventually, videos will stop playing back. I don't know if it's something with Hibernate or not.

Very frustrating! Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Maybe the video file is corrupted ? Is it the same for other video files ? Try updating the graphic driver.

It's not the video files -- no videos at all will show the video, just the audio. Codecs are installed. Reboot is the only thing that will fix it.

I'm using the latest ATI drivers.
