i truly can't thank the guys here enough that told me to look at the Sager laptops instead of the M1710 that i was so eager to buy, i've been reading up on the Sager subforum and realized how much better build quality and customer service they provide over this ultra-mass produced and ridiculous quality issue-ridden XPS line.

its unbelievable what you get for the same price.... 9800M GTS card/ Blu ray player/ 4 gigs ram/ 1900x1200 crystal clear screen / attentive customer service/ spectacular build quality... for the same price as the lowest spec'd M1710. oh how blind i was, i would like to thank you guys again for recommending Sager. its your little christmas present to me.

    You pay for quality.

Dell, Sony and Apple are thee "elite" brands, delivering high quality products and have excellent customer service.

Something like Sager, MSI, Asus or anything doesn't come even close.

Not to mention the service Dell provides, Sager has nothing on that I can assure you.

Bad build quality? Have you ever used an XPS M1730? Hmm 9800m GTS SLI is slower than 8800m GTX SLI if you didn“t know that. I assume you meant 9800m GT not GTS.

What is the point of this thread? To make you feel better about your purchase? Unless you just want a flatout gaming notebook, Sager is not the way to go.

What is the point of this thread . . . I agree. Closed.

Also, if you don't own a Sager/MSI/Asus etc laptop, you can't say their service doesn't come close. Nobody likes fanboys.
