    HSPA+ MC8700 PCI Express Mini Card

    Works fine in my sxps 1340's wwan slot btw.. drivers are just latest version of sierra watcher software.

    recent speedtest using Telus HSPA+ , this was in my office in downtown edmonton earlier this evening;
    ping: 28ms download: 12.83Mb/s upload: 2.76Mb/s

    excellent speeds for internet on-the-go :)

    I chose this card because it is capable of full HSPA+ speeds (Peak downlink speeds up to 21 Mbps and peak uplink speeds up to 5.76 Mbps) .. Dell's current WWAN cards are just not fast enough, lol

    I use several types of Sierra Wireless WWAN modules (MC8780, MC8781 and MC8775). All use the same driver/software (Sierra Wireless Watcher) which I downloaded from Sierra's website. You can download from this link.

    Hello Balto,

    I'm trying to get the MC8700 too. Is it available online? Or do I have to contact certain distributor? If so, who is it? The distributors list on Sierra website is not updated aparently.

    Thank you for the info.

    I got one from PWS for about $240CAD delivered -- works great with the generic Sierra Wireless Watcher software R3.1.0.34 Build 2258 and TELUS HSPA+ in my Dell Precision M6400.
