My xps 16 uses 100% of CPU memory after woken up, and it's like that for a long time. I am really concerned. I have a T9550 2.66ghz cpu, and the system is brand new. I don't think it should be like that. Help me please.

So, to clarify, after you put your machine to sleep, you wake it back up and the CPU goes to 100%?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Bah, I had this issue on an older laptop. It's a software fault and most likely a driver issue. If you haven't done a clean install of your laptop since purchase, I'd definitely recommend that, but the problem may still be fixable otherwise. You'll just have to track down whatever is making the CPU max out and update the corresponding piece of software, etc.

Yes, when I turn it back on, the CPU goes to 100% and stays 100% for a while.

I haven't done a clean install. I just got it last week and wanted to make sure everything's good before I play around with the system. I guess it's the time to do a clean install. Another question, after I type in my service tag on dell.com, it shows me many drivers. Some of them are compatible with my system but I don't have them, for example, I don't have a blu-ray drive. How can I tell if the driver is for something I really have in my system? They have complicated codes on the website instead of the real names of the components.
