On another note -- anyone know how to get better control of flat panel SCANNING? From what I understand, Nvidia used to provide full control (down the the %) and now you only get DON'T REPORT, UNDERSCAN or OVERSCAN. Does the desktop size adjustment effectively do this? Or does it screw up pixel-to-pixel signal?
The reason I'm asking is because I have a Samsung that displays HDMI from my XPS like absolute garbage. It's a 720p screen -- there is nothing wrong with it, but it does not properly display PC signals...it cuts off the borders on all sides, the text is fuzzy, etc -- the onscreen display (Samsung menu, etc) is 100% perfect -- there's just something weird going on with the signal. I have the output set to the proper resolution -- I've tried plenty of HDMI cables (no difference). I have the resolution set to 720p (in this case, 1280 x 720) and 60hz.
I believe the problem is on the Samsung end, ultimately -- I can display to my Vizio perfectly with no adjustments. But if I can under/overscan the image maybe I can product a pixel-to-pixel image. I have never had luck with this display combined with PC -- a friggin VGA port gives a better result than HDMI.
Want NView for Win 7??? Here's how...
