just renewed my warranty for a further 3 years for £180.
I get next business day on-site, (which I didn't have before), also if it can't be fixed I get a replacement model of a better spec.
Seems like a pretty good deal to me, :)

Do you think you will pay more than £180 for a replacement part over the next two years? Warranties are just a way of removing the risk of replacing a faulty part. If you feel it is worth paying £180 on the chance of a fault developing in the next three years then fine. It would also have to be a fault that they would pay out on as well.

If you have a number of purchases and you get this kind of added on warranty for all of them you had better hope something major goes wrong with at least one of them otherwise you would have paid out a lot of money, in advance, for nothing.

Alternatively if you have bought a number of items and you do not get the added warranty for them you would then have a pot of money to pay for any faults that develop plus the interest that has accrued in your bank account, and not the warranty company's bank account.

Well, considering I've already had 1 mobo , 2 screens and one keyboard replaced already, then yes it is worth it, IMHO.
I certainly wouldn't pay for an extended warranty for anything else.

Yes, you can extend your warranty. I did it two-three years ago for my now 4 years old 6400. Good thing I did that, I just got my power supply and motherboard changed two weeks ago. Well worth the investment imho. :)
