I ordered my XPS m1330 with the slim and light display, which was suppose to come with a VGA webcam. However, when I enter the Dell Webcam Center, the maximum resolution is listed as 1280x1024, which is 1.3 megapixels. So did Dell include a 1.3 mp camera with the LED display? Does it provide the option for a 1.3 mp picture when the camera is only VGA? or did Dell send me the standard display by accident?
I cannot tell if it's the standard display because I don't have another m1330 to compare it to.

Check the device manager which has your display model number. You can use that to know whether you have LED or not.
-
Where do you find the display model number? All it says is Generic PnP monitor in Device Manager.
Thanks for your help -
Double click on the Generic PnP Monitor
Under the dropdown, select "Hardware Ids" and post the value if you dont know what kind it is from it. -
It says MONITOR/LCD 2306
-
Thats the LED display.

The LED display does only get a VGA webcam. You confirmed you have the LED so you udo have the VGA. The true res is 640x480 but the higher res you mentioned is an interpolated/scaled res (ie fake). So you're all good.
