Well after moving 4 hours away and my M1530 being in the hot car I now have some sort of faulty pixel. Since my resolution is 1900x1200 it is hardly noticable, but I still see it.
The pixel looks black on all colors - other than black. A pure black screen has no flaws, but any other color does. Is this a stuck or dead pixel?

Well damn, dead pixels can't be fixed with sotware either.... great -
no they cant.. sorry to say

I've read that you can massage a pixel back to life (no, I'm not joking). Maybe try it, but do it lightly so that you don't break other pixels lol. Just rub circles over it. Could help.

If you have 6 or more Dell will replace the LCD, dont tell them that you left your portable in the heat, that might be considered as accidental and it wont be covered under the normal warranty.
-
so another 5 just appeared right
lol.. up to you but i can tell you they will replace it but there is no gaurantee your new one will not have one or more since they allow up to 6

Don't get me wrong, I like my notebook... I might even call it 'sexy' if you caught me on a good day, but what you've just said right there is an altogether different kind of kinky.

Just be careful, if you and your notebook end up having a child together, the gov will take it from you... leading you down a bitter path that will only end with the inevitable separation of you and your notebook after countless fights and arguments over where the blame should be placed, and your notebook will take all of your money in the separation too... you'll end up on the streets a bitter and drunk old man with nothing but memories of your doom days when you would mod the game to replace the demons with a Barney model.... yeah.... you know what I'm talking about, you know.
