I got my screen replaced today because of some dead/stuck pixels, and my luck isn't any better.
This screen doesn't seem to have any dead pixels (maybe one but I'll get over it)...
It does have some minimal backlight bleed that doesn't bother me...

However there is one major problem.
There seems to be something wrong with the coating on the screen, and a small spot looks slightly distorted because of it.
This IS noticable on any bright(ish) colors, and it spans about 1cm in height and half that in width...

Should I call for another replacement or should I suck it up and get over it?

Get it replaced. It's your right as a consumer to be happy with your premium model laptop purchase.

That is definitely odd...and worth asking for a replacement.

I'd like to know what it is...i think it might be a small tear or rinkle in the coating on the surface of the LCD...idk...

First he wanted me to see if the problem was still there in safe mode, now he thinks it's the video card and wants me to check on an external monitor...

    **UPDATE**
    Getting another new screen...

Did you ask for something else? LED or 1920x1200 or something?

Nope. I really really love this resolution. It's just right.
I honestly don't think I could drop down to 1440.

And I am glad I called again, I just noticed another similar (but larger) distortion in the bottom right of the screen.

If I had to guess I'd say that the tech scratched it when he was replacing the other screen, but I can't be sure...it could have been that way straight from the factory (in which case there quality control sucks)...

Don't get me wrong, but I guarantee, you are Not seeing most of the happy people's stories who purchased these same laptops.

Actually, for all the M1330 laptops sold since first day available, the number of three legged dogs delivered, is small in proportion.

I guess it is easy to forget this fact.
Also, when we call Dell support, somehow we Always get handed to a human being who then answers our call. I seriously doubt they have Dell stamped on their forehead and chant a mantra to the God, Dell, every waking moment.

These are people just like you and me and they are not always doing so well, and may be experiencing burnout. And it has absolutely nothing to do with you.
    This is not your fault.
I have noticed great patience by many of the newly purchased, suffering, that is a great lesson to us all.
In the end, most end up with a quality product.
    Please forgive the sermon.
