    What 3dmark score would a dell xps m1730 get?

    Sorry for the noob question guys, but I'm currently looking for a new laptop so can you give me a rough estimate at what score this laptop would get done up like this, thanks very much! :)

    Well, that config. should score about 11K. My system (see sig) always scores about 11.5K, with some optimizations maybe I'll hit 12K. That in 3D Mark06.
    In Vantage I scored about 10K with nVidia Physx turned on.

    Not to bash the M1730 (I loved mine while I had it) but I strongly encourage you to review the last several pages of the M1730 owner's lounge thread and post the config you are looking at as well as ask for opinions on general system outlook. Depending on the price and budget of course, you may want to look at another system.

    11k is reasonable considering the CPU in that config. I dont believe you be able to push to far past it.

    Just a thought.

    And my budget is £1,000, I kinda prefer dell as my dad works at a business where he can buy it through them and get money off.

    For £1000 you probably wont get a system better than that, certainly not a brand new one.

    There was a guy here with the same excat specs, hit around 10's. Due to the T8300 CPU.. on 3d06 mark!
