Just ordered a XPS M1530. My Sales Professional was Emilie Mague. She was awesome. Here are the specs. Feel free to comment.

    I'm pretty happy with it.

Wow, nice buy there. I configured the same thing online, and with the 25% off coupon, and would still have had to pay $100 more than what did. Good buy! I think you should have gotten bluetooth, though, but it's no big deal.

I'm not usually a big fan of multi-year warranties. I think that they are usually a waste of cash. There are exceptions though. Emilie is going to contact me about canceling my order and putting in a new order with an extended warranty. I might go through with it, depending on the cost.

Thanks! I didn't include bluetooth, because I don't have any real use for it, so I figured I'd save some money.

    So, here's the scoop:

It turns out that I did have a 2 year warranty after all. My sales rep told me I did when I asked about extending warranties. For some reason, the 2 year warranty wasn't showing up on the order. So it had to be redone.

Also, I found out that my Dad gets discounts through his work on Dell computers, so I got about $70 off my original price. The only bad thing is that the estimated shipping date is August 20. I need my notebook at least a few days before August 28 (college move-in day) to set it up to my liking.

Here's my final config in case anyone is interested:
