    1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3?

Also will I be able to play MKV files on my laptop and then output this onto my HDTV via HDMI?

What cable would I need to do that or will any of them from 1.0 - 1,3 be OK?

You'll be able to play MKV on your tv regardless. I'm pretty sure you can just pick up a stand 1.3 cable and it'll work.

No. The version that the unit ships with (whatever it may be), is the version it will stay at.
