Well I've got the RGBLED and have had at least two issues with it, possibly related to another component but I think it's the LCD at fault. Every once in a while the screen will shut off completely while the system is on not related to dimming or power saving features, I mean it goes dead. Even after rebooting the system it won't turn back on. I have found the problem to be fixable by unplugging the power cable and removing the battery for awhile. The other problem I've had is certain colors of the RGBLED will go out occasionally, like the other day RED wasn't working and the screen was overly blue and green. It took a few reboots and letting the system cool before it would work again. I don't know what the cause of that might have been, but I'm wondering if humidity had anything to do with it because the only time I've seen it happen has been while the carpets were drying after we steam cleaned the house.
Next issue I've had I believe to be a chipset or GPU related system freeze and shutdown where it starts by the screen turning a color with alternating darker and lighter bars and stripes of the same color, and then finally powering down after about 20-30 seconds.
Well I just wonder if anyone else has seen these problems and what Dell might have said about them. For the last issue Dell told me they were aware of it and working on a fix. I haven't heard anyone else talk about it though..
What SXPS 1645 RGBLED & Video problems have you experienced?
