The laptop has a 54mm Express Car slot and a beautiful 1080p screen. Is there a TV tuner that can connect the Xbox 360 and what would give me the best signal? VGA, HDMI, DVI, s-video, or composite?

HDMI -> DVI -> VGA -> Component -> S-Video -> Composite: in that order, from greatest output quality to lowest. I don't particularly know that the TV-tuner is necessary for an X-box connection, but rather a connection port on the laptop (check the ports). Most TV tuners I have seen are just cable connections [for Cable TV].

There is absolutely no difference in output quality between the HDMI, DVI and Component for the resolutions supported (they are all digital and support 1080p). The only difference is the # of cables you have to run. VGA, S-Video and Composite are all analog so you will have some possible signal degredation.

i've tried using a USB TV Tuner(AverMedia Volar Max) to play a GameCube(hooked up using composite i think)... a little bit of lag and quality loss, but playable...
