What came with your XPS M1330?

Just curious, I have read online about the XPS laptops all coming with headphones and a leather like notebook case to hold all the cds. I didn't get that in my shipment, is this still coming with the XPS Laptops?

 

New laptops in the US seem to always come with these. It's more of a toss-up if you live out of the US or if you got your laptop as a refurb.

 

Nope, I live in the US and this is a new XPS M1330. I did just call Dell and was told that no it wasn't on my order but that they could send me to sales if I want to order some headphones.

I explained to the person helping me, thank you for your help. I will be heading to Best Buy to buy the rest of my accessories that I need such as a case, external hard drive and new printer while I am there I will look at the available headphones that they have. His response was "Thank you for calling Dell"

 

if u still want them call dell Customer support. they should send u a free set of earbuds style headphones, the cd case and a cleaning cloth for the screen.
EDIT: didn't see ur second post. call agian and state that u got an xps laptop and that to date they have come with these free accessories. i think ur Cs rep misunderstood u.

 

You should have gotten a remote control as well as the stuff wywern209 mentioned.

I just got a M1330 last week and like alexsma, all I got was the remote. I think Ill give them a call, my remote doesn't work (I think, haven't played around with it much yet) so hopefully I can get a new one of those as well.

Also, anyone who recently ordered, did/are you getting a giftcard?

 

I just tried online chat with a sales rep and although she was nice I got the same answer. That it wasn't added to my order and I would have to pay extra to receive those items.

 

im getting a $70GC b/c fo the 4yr warranty+acc damage

remote is listed in my sales text, but nothing about the xps sleeve, xps dvd case, earbuds, xps cloth,

 

The XPS M1530/M1330 is shipped in that case, so you are pretty much guaranteed to get it. The DVD Case, earbuds and cloth were all bundled in to one, as in the cloth and earbuds were inside the DVD case, for me.

I'm curious if theres any difference as to whats included based on the different preconfigured bundles. I'm waiting on delivery of the loaded (PRODUCT) red model, anyone else here purchase that one and receive all the extra goodies?

 

everyone ordering new should get all of the accessories. the fake leather cd holder comes sealed with the manual, earbuds, and cleaning cloth. they have to give everyone a manual so everything else should come with it too. i also ordered one from the outlet that came with everything minus the earbuds.

 

u'll get an extra pair of red-tinted sunglasses so that everything u see will be red

AFAIK, (PRODUCT) red is same as normal Dell except red laptop cover(search the guy here who painted his XPS red himself) and an extra fee to 'donate' to charities..... (which is BS as they priced (PRODUCT) red much more than the $50 or whatever they say they were going to donate)... and some (PRODUCT) red skins/wallpaper/etc for Vista

 

I just got mine, aside from the laptop and the power cord I only got the carrying case and some CDs (Vista, Media Direct, Installed Drivers).

Boo. I don't think I'll bother, if Dell tries to charge you for not sending the other things in the first place. But come on, Dell.

I also was supposed to have the $70 gift card but I don't have it. :/ I hope it arrives soon separately, or I'll call about that one for sure.

Dell is supposed to send you a Drivers and Utilities DVD, an Operating System DVD, a Media Direct DVD, and CD's with software you may have gotten (e.g. - Roxio, Trend, Audigy).

Matte Black Casing is your lid.
For example, I have "Standard LCD with Alpine WhiteCasing with High Gloss Finish and Camera XPS M1330"

I don't see anything on my list that I can identify as the leatherlike CD holding case.

didn't get the earbuds, CD case or cleaning cloth, called dell up, but the Customer Service rep doesnt have the authority(or some BS reason) to give me those three items, said they were freebies given to all XPS systems, but only could offer me the earbuds...

anyone have the part numbers for the CD case or cleaning cloth?

 

Same here all I got was the remote....I was disappointed.

Dell has made a mistake in not shipping all the XPS laptops with these things I mean come on the cheapest HP ships with a cleaning cloth.

XPS laptops start at like $949 my configuration is $1700+

These items really should have come with my computer.

i didnt get those either, but some have reported they have called dell and they have managed to get them, now im afraid this was a limited time offer, so they just shipped until they ran out of supplies, thats why some still got the cd case but not the earbuds etc..

as for myself all i got was the case in witch the computer came and my cd's and manual, but it really doesnt bother me because they were just side-details IMO, but there is a chance you can get them to give you something if you just nag a bit
